Welcome to the Academy of Business Leadership Website!

At ABL, we train the future conscious, conscientious, and transformational CEOs, entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and civic leaders of America and the world™!

One of our hallmark programs for future leaders is our Summer Business and Leadership Institute Institute (SBLI) that has been held on eight college campuses: The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); Loyola Marymount University (LMU); the University of Southern California (USC); California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA); California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH); California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona); California State University, Fullerton (CSUF); and Santa Monica College (SMC). To learn how you may be invited to apply to the 2018 Summer Business and Leadership Institute, please click here.

During SBLI, participating scholars are taught by talented MBA graduates from top universities such as Harvard Business School, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and others. They also create business plans, invest in a $1 million dollar fictitious stock portfolio, go on field trips to fortune 500 companies and leading institutions and corporations, and formulate a personalized action plan for college. They also learn leadership skills, core values, and personal transformation skills. ABL scholars get a 10-to- 20 year head start, inspiring them to see themselves as Leaders NOW™ who will rise to become the future conscious, conscientious and transformational corporate, entrepreneurial, social entrepreneurial, philanthropic, and civic leaders of America and the world, while inculcating in them the value of Giving Back NOW™. Students learn about life on a college campus from our college-aged leadership support site staff and from the host university administration.

We are proud of our results: 100% of our scholars graduate from high school and a remarkable 99% of them pursue post-secondary education at colleges and universities across the US. A 2013 survey of ABLI alumni since 2006 revealed that 100% of them graduated from high school, and 99.9% of them were attending colleges and universities nationwide, including elite ones such as Brown, Columbia, Cornell, CSUDH, CSUF, CSULA, Dartmouth, Duke, Georgetown, George Washington, Harvard, Stanford, LMU, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, West Point, Yale, and others. Moreover, 90% of our alumni graduate from college -- more than twice the national average graduation rate of 40% for all students. In addition, 100% of our alumni say that ABL has made a dramatic difference in their lives, and 100% of them would recommend the program to their friends. Our alumni have also started their own entrepreneurial and social entrepreneurial ventures. Furthermore, they can be found at corporations such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, The Capital Group Companies, Inc., Warner Brothers, Latham & Watkins LLP, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Google, and others.

"ABL gives students a 10-20 year head start on their careers by teaching them how to identify, access, utilize, and leverage resources; by teaching them how to never see money as an obstacle; and by providing them with access and exposure at the highest level to civic and corporate leaders -- the movers and shakers of our country. Youth are an untapped resource. Despite all the great work being done, there are still thousands of kids who believe they can’t reach their dreams. Therefore, we need to do more. We can not afford to leave anyone behind if we want to continue to prosper as a society and a country."

- Anna Ouroumian, ABL Refounder, President & CEO

"ABL preaches a Forbesian message: Elbow grease and the right preparation can give anyone, no matter how disadvantaged their background, a shot at the emotional and financial riches of American capitalism. More importantly, ABL gives youngsters a first taste of what it is like to pursue a business career; it's a start at molding them into future employees and clients. The best benefit of ABL: For many, it is the first time anyone has cared enough to help them help themselves, to give them hope"

- Dennis Kneale, Former FOX Business Network Senior Media and Technology Correspondent, and Former Managing Editor of Forbes Magazine

"ABL completely transformed my 12 year old daughter from an insecure, academically lazy, reserved girl to a focused young leader.  Anna's leadership and personal dedication to each student means the program has a deep profound impact on each person.  The program isn't just about knowledge and theory, it goes deep into behavioral psychology and confidence building, unblocking fears and traumas to give each child the confidence, vision, and skills to really shape their future.  My daughter came back with open eyes and a clear sense of self.  Our relationship also strengthened as a result with her gaining focus and will to excel, lead, and help others.  No other class or program has done this for her ever.  It's a gift to learn about business planning, capital raising, investing in your future, empowering and dis-empowering beliefs, and facing your fears at a young age.  I am so grateful for this program and seeing my daughter harness all her strengths and abilities.  She knows herself and how to face the world now with optimism and solid business acumen to boot."
